Bitpart
Bitpart is a two-piece band from Paris (France), formed in 2010. They moved to Olympia on March 2011. A drummer from Tacoma recently joined them to replace their “Dr Rythm” drum machine while they’re in the Northwest. With their previous band (Fat Beavers), they used to play from 2006 to 2010 within the parisian punk-hardcore DIY scene, but Bitpart’s songs are as pop as angry. Probably influenced by Hüsker Dü, Superchunk, Wipers, Lemonheads, Built to Spill, Fugazi, Angry Samoans, Unwound and Bikini Kill. Hopefully they’ll record a LP before going back to Paris at the end of August 2011.
