Ô Paon

Ô Paon is a lot of words in French which came from frustration. You take something dark and you digest it and you turn it into your own thing. I enjoy the darkness and I embrace its presence. It’s just there. The shade of a tree branch, the shadow left by a person. The lower notes. Not always understanding. It’s ok. I am mostly known for doing two things most of the time: I draw and I make music. That doesn’t mean that I don’t do other things. I do all sorts of things which are not shared in a public manner. The difference between drawing and making up songs is that when I draw I don’t have a crowd of people paying attention to me. But I don’t think I am more of a musician or an illustrator (Do I have to be either?), if I make you some food I invented, does it make me a chef?
I love to talk about why I sing in French (I didn’t speak English until the age of fourteen), you can ask me someday. To me English feels kind of like house-sitting, it works out fine but it’s not home.
