The Gift Machine

the gift machine is mainly the vehicle for the songs of Dave Matthies, but has featured many different people over the years. Past members include Karl Blau, Phil Elverum (the Microphones, Mt. Eerie), Nate Ashley, Alex Parrish (Dame Dulce), Lisa Jackson (the Crabs), Steve Moore (Stebmo, Laura Veirs, Mount Analog, etc.), Jeremy Hadley (Vellela Vellella), and many more. the gift machine has released 4 full length albums and 4 EP’s and numerous songs on compilations.

Dave also is a member of the Be Gulls (marriagerecs.com), helped Bret Lunsford run KNW-YR-OWN from 1999-2006, was a cofounder of What the Heck Fest in Anacortes, WA, and is a jolly nice chap according to small group of elderly English academics.
